When I was 3 years old, I was the smallest kid in my dance class. I had been moved into a class with older students when students my own age could not focus enough to work on dance! My desire to learn and grow was innately part of my personality. My first memory of performing is waving to the audience in my first dance recital. The audience erupted in laughter and my passion for performing was born. When I think back to dancing around as a child and “hamming it up,” my heart is filled with joy.

As I grew, I began to understand the emotional and healing aspects of the arts, and how they lead to social connection. I was the only child in a household with four generations living under one roof, the oldest of whom was my great-grandmother, Margaret. She passed away when I was 11 years old; I paid homage to her memory by singing in talent shows and dedicating my performances to her. She was a survivor of the Armenian Genocide, and I wanted to do her memory justice. When audiences were moved by these performances, it became clear that the arts had power.

My education from childhood and into adulthood has included voice, acting, dance, piano, flute, and guitar- which culminates in who I am today! I am a working actor, and when I am not performing, I work as a Music Therapist/Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. My life is filled with expression and human connection through the arts, and I could not be more grateful. Thank you for being here, and I look forward to getting to know you!
